From the Manufacturer: Competition is fierce and caddies are in constant mortal danger as you beat them with your iron to raise your spirits and lower your score in this no-holds-barred golf game. With a hardcore physics engine that shows details from a blade of grass to the reflections seen in your club as it bounces off your caddy's head, Outlaw Golf features interference from other golfers, environmental hazards, and shapely female caddies. Outlaw Golf, it's a full-contact sport!

Get it, it's that simple!, November 8, 2002

First off, this game may have a control scheme that is rather akward, and it may have repetive music. But those become minor flaws when you get into the game. The graphics are great, the announcer is funny, and the charecters, the very gas in the game, are over-the-top. As the back cover implies, "Outstanding golg meets strippers, ex-cons, and wannabe rappers." The game will make you sell your copy of "Tiger Woods PGA Tour".

Good play mechanics, but gets old quick, October 15, 2002

OG features some good golf mechanics and physics, but overall, the game becomes very boring after about 3 rounds of 18. Great rental, not a good buy.

Outlaw golf for the xbox is a mix of hot shots golf and caddyshack and fighting but it is ok the great thing about outlaw golf is the controls instead of taping one button 3 times you pull back on the analog stick then push forward it is hard at first but if you start sucking you can beat up on your caddy (no trust me I mean it) but it is the horor of the game people who want a good golfing game should check this out as a rentel first.

Good golf game, September 21, 2002

The control is a little awkward at first, but once you get used to it, it's awesome. This golf game would have been a great classic if there are more golf courses. There are only three courses in the entire game! It falls short of being a great xbox title because of this.

Good but flawed, August 29, 2002

This game is a wacky golf sim with solid standard physics and design. But it also had many flaws. Like no imagination on the course. It is more like Street Hoops (read my review there and you'll understand my point) , it dosen't have enough golf. It (just like Street Hoops) tries to make it up by making a big deal about the extras (which are only average.)

Above par game - great gameplay, with some omissions., August 27, 2002

The actual golf in this game is entertaining, and it's challenging enough, after the first course.

The characters and dialogue are amusing, and the play-by play still makes me laugh out loud now and again.

The graphics are great (as usual for the Xbox), and the sounds are good, too, with a few exceptions.

There are 4 practice-type mini-games, each with 3 or 4 levels of difficulty, and winning them allows you to improve your golfer. Certainly a very cool feature.

There are also many multiplayer options, including the very cool "My one and only" game, in which each player gets to pick one club to play the entire course with (plus a putter).

My only complaints about this game are as follows:

1) No statistical tracking or records. Many of you may know the arcade game "Golden Tee", which tracks stats such as Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Most Birdies, Most Eagles, Most Greens Hit, et cetera. This is a feature that is sorely lacking in this game. I'm not greedy, I don't need career stats for every player and such, but course records would add a lot of enjoyment for both the single and multiplayer modes.

2) Only 3 courses. In this day and age? Surely they could have fit a minimum of 5 courses...even if they sprinkled in a few 9-hole courses on top of the 3 they have, it would expand the usuable lifespan of this game dramatically.

Overall, I definitely recommend this game to golf lovers. Don't be put off by the rowdy name -- it's all window dressing around a very solid golf sim.

if your like me seeing the title of this game makes you leary about buying it. It doesnt sound like a good true to golf game.

but let me tell you I could not have been more wrong I recieved the game as a gift so I didnt have to make the decision and I am glad someone else did it for me. The game is very real to golf and humorous at the same time. Why get a cookie cutter golf game like Tiger Woods or others when you can do a lot more than just play golf? With lots of games and multiplayer modes this is a winning game
