Fun!!!Fun!!!Do NOT buy though!!!, October 29, 2002

This game is fun alright, but luckily for me, I managed to read the reviews for this game first before contepleting of pruchasing it. Fortunately I did NOT buy it!!! I rented it from Blockbuster, and even before I have to return the game, I finished it, no late fees to boot!!!! This game is fun but its too simple that any adult could finish this game in 2 days if they play 3 hours straight everyday. Thats what I did and I must say I am glad I did not buy this game. So my advice is just rent it!!!! You'll be glad you took my advice!!!

Why did I buy this?, October 24, 2002

If you are expecting a in depth story, amazing graphics or revolutionary gameplay then Gunmetal is most definatly NOT what you are looking for. But if you want a decent shooter with a good variety of weapons to choose from and challenging (but not frustrating) gameplay then take a look at Gunmetal. BTW: It's a pretty short game so I'd rent it unless you have money to burn.

What's hot:
-Decent graphics
-Nice imagination

What's not:
-Screwy controls

What's strange:
-Why does it take so long to transform from a fighting robot to an airplane(even Gundams are faster)?

The awards for:
-None

The overall:
-I've seen shooting games and this one doesn't quite fit that much. I recommend that you rent this game but don't buy it

THIS IS WHAT ALL GAMES SHOULD BE COMPARED TO:, September 15, 2002

This game has everything to make it such an awesome game. Action, Excellent Gameplay, Challenge, & Excellent Graphics. It's addicitive and the only other games I have been this addictive to is GTA, HALO, and Burn Out. To anyone that wrote a bad review on here I DON'T kow what planet your from but for a Mech Assault type battle game this game is awesome. For a straight arcade game it is awesome. You shouldn't by this game if you only like streetfighter games or if you only like role playing games or whatever. If you like an overall good arcade styled shooter then buy it. The game is not too hard it just requires a little bit of thought a little strategy. It's not about just shooting. You have to decide how you want to attack and what weapons to use on which enemies. If you just go out and just try and shoot at everything YOU'll lose. Otherwise you'd be invincible and that's no fun. I am not an arcade fanatic and I am still completing missions. Also to the guy that said the convoy mission is too hard. It's not. Try a little bit harder buddy. I am not finished with this game and I am already hoping for a part 2 to come out. Thanks RAGE for coming out with this one.

Very fun, but hard as hell, September 6, 2002

I like this game a lot. It's got pretty nice graphics, just about par for the Xbox. It does get sluggish at times, though. The gameplay(shoot [almost] everything) is [really[ fun. (More fun than even MechWarrior, in my opinion.) I love a game that comes along every once in a while that forgets all the realism ... and goes back to the basics of why shooters are so fun.

But, don't get this game if you don't like 'em difficult. It does get frustrating at times, but the only thing I found was that it makes the game more rewarding knowing that you found out the STRATEGY of beating a mission. (Yes, strategy. It exists in this game.)

Yes, the voice acting can get a little annoying at times and the in game music is mediocre. That's the main drawback of Gunmetal. Still, it's definitely worth a buy if you're getting tired of "Counter-Hack" and want a back to basics shoot 'em up.

Great & Greater, but not the greatest, August 29, 2002

Gunmetal's graphics and gameplay are outstanding by any means. Adding the Xbox's custom cd player for background music is always a plus in any game. Especially since the original Gunmetal score was nothing like Halo's. The visual effects and transforming sequences are outstanding. It was like watching Transformers when I was a kid. The movie sequences were absolutely top notch. Most anybody who likes action will find what they are looking for here. The action starts with a bang and just gets louder. The major flaw that I saw in the game was the challenge. I beat the game after the first day. It didn't even take that long. I was hoping for a little more after I spent forty dollars on it. The missions objectives where short and sweat (not to mention they were all the same). Go in, blow up everything you see, and then go home. It's fun to a point, but it got old after a while. In my opinion, they needed more diverse missions to break up these fast paced objectives and add a little length to the game. Asside from the challenge, the game surpassed many others that I've played in the past. Over-all it was an excellent game.

Pretty Good With a Few Flaws, August 29, 2002

This game is fast-paced and fun, but it falls a little on the generic side. I also think that it does not have enough gameplay to satisfy. Overal I would give it a 3.9 out of 5 but I had to round it up.

I thought that this game would be fun to play. I like many different types of games but this game isn't vary fun. The graphics are okay but all you basically do is kill things before they blow something you need to defend up. Controls are bad in this game in robot mode you cant aim up or down you have to target over the enmty to get your guy to target upwards. The sound effects are really bad. It doesn't seem like you're a big robot it feels like you're a normal person running though hotwhell land or something :P also the sergeant guy who yells orders to you [disappoints],the voice acting isn't good at all and I just wasn't feeling it. I think they should of used a computer narrator sort of like hailo or mechwarrior dose I strongly recommend you rent it before you buy it.

DA BEST GAME EVER!!!!, August 28, 2002
